Sustainability Expertise & Credentials
Sustainability Expertise: Yes
Sustainability Expertise & Credentials: Sustainable aspects from the macro to the micro are inherent in the conception and design of all our Projects. We recognize the three pillars of Sustainability: Environmental, Economic and Social. We seek to craft our work by virtue of the buildings form, siting, orientation, materiality, structure, systems and detailing to support these fundamental precepts. These elements are top of mind throughout all phases of the design, development and construction processes with our eyes firmly set on the long-term enjoyment and habitability of the structures and spaces we create.
Fire Resiliency Experience: Yes
Fire Resiliency Experience Details: Design, Permits and Construction of a Residence, Guest House and Gallery Space in the Santa Monica Mountains (Malibu) in a Very High - Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ) within an Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Area (ESHA). Our team created a Fire Protection Plan, secured an Expanded Fuel Modification Zone around the structures and incorporated requirements of Chapter 7A of the 2022 California Building Code (CBC) in the design and detailing of the Project(s).
