MUTUO is an award winning Los Angeles-based architecture studio established in 2014. Since then we have explored common grounds in our passion for design, in finding extraordinary uses for ordinary materials and methods, in discovering new perspectives, and in creating meaningful impact through architecture. We find opportunities to foster collaborations and expand the traditional role of architecture into a more dynamic role with more influence on creating built environments and solving complex city challenges. To further our reach and impact, our research work focuses on developing ‘affordable-by-design’ construction systems that aim to simplify the building process with faster and more affordable solutions for housing.
